Bio
Miqui is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, animation, creative direction, and cello performance. Based between Chicago and the world, her work spans fine art, commercial campaigns, immersive installations, and live performance.
She began her career at The Onion News Network, developing visual effects and animation, and later served as the sole designer for Pride in the Park Music Festival, overseeing all visual branding, from large-scale stage graphics to promotional materials. Her motion design work includes a contribution to a documentary nominated at the Chicago International Film Festival, now streaming on Netflix. She serves on the board of Half Rez, helping shape the future of motion design through community and collaboration.
Her paintings are raw, tactile, and rooted in emotional truth. Her cello performances are meditative and physical. Both practices share the same source.
