The instrument was never the cello. It was always me. And when I learned to tune myself, intimacy changed. It became less about closeness and more about resonance. The places where two frequencies stop being separate sounds. This work explores the body as a resonant instrument, where intimacy becomes an exchange of frequency rather than a purely visual experience. The form is not simply seen, but felt, as if it carries an internal vibration. The inclusion of the f-holes transforms the torso into a site of sound and breath, suggesting that desire moves through the body like music. In this way, sexuality is reframed as something played, tuned, and experienced, rather than observed.
